HYBE staff did a fantastic job in editing Version 3 of BTS ‘Butter’ Concept Photos. However, it is still puzzling ARMY why HYBE erased Jimin and Jungkook tattoos so randomly in some photos, but not others.

It is very common for Kpop idols to cover up their tattoos and for agencies to edit tattoos from photos. This is regarding the social rules that happen in South Korea to see tattoos in a negative light.
HYBE has been editing BTS tattoos out of promotional photos for a long time. Like this one of Jungkook for Bon Voyage 4. However, this time HYBE erased Jimin and Jungkook tattoos so randomly and noticeably inconsistent.
Jungkook Tattoos
As all we know, Jungkook is known for his ARMY tattoo, among other tattoos on his sleeve.
In this Version 3 photo, he is wearing a long sleeve shirt to conceal his arms tattoos. Meanwhile, his hand tattoos are there, but some are erased.

In this close-up, Jungkook hand tattoos appear but not complete. The ARMY tattoo is missing…
…not like the tattoos on Version 1 and 2 ‘Butter’ Photo Concept.
Moreover, in Jungkook’s another Version 3 photo, his hand tattoos are all being erased.

We all know why HYBE erased Jimin and Jungkook tattoos is probably due to the social rules. However, this theory seems to be very interesting.

Though, the real reason why they did it so randomly is still questionable. So, let’s wait a little longer to find out why.
