What if you finally bought your dream house with everything you have, only to find yourself trapped in a waking nightmare? “Wall to Wall” Netflix Korean Film (2025)

The Netflix thriller “Wall to Wall,” also known as “84 Square Meters,” is the new project from director and writer Kim Tae-joon. This film marks the second film that he wrote and helmed directly, following his directorial debut, “Unlocked,” in 2023. The film revolves around the psychological collapse that can occur when intense pressure and the ambition to own a house in modern life take a toll on one’s sanity.
Storyline
The film tells the story of Woo-seong, a young Korean man with a great ambition to own an apartment that would reflect his status. He also pours every financial resource he has into making this dream come true, from his savings and stock investments to loans and even utilizing his mother’s garlic farm.
However, the reality is not as beautiful as his dreams. The bright days turned into gloomy days. Woo-seong must face the bitter reality of high interest payments that make him breathless. And what’s more disturbing, his peace is disturbed by loud, incessant noises, especially “floor noises,” which are heard every night. It is unknown where the sound came from, but his neighbors have evidence that it came from his apartment.
This constant disturbance exacerbates his anxiety and pushes him to the brink of paranoia. Now, the new house that should have been his safe haven has become a private prison that makes him suffocate in endless nightmares.
He then works with his neighbor, Jin Ho, who lives upstairs, to find out the source of the sounds. Eun Hwa, another neighbor, helps calm the residents of the apartment building.
Not only that, but unexpectedly, he finds something scary both inside and outside his apartment.
