J-Hope’s birthday was celebrated all over the world!
Jung Ho-Soek, or better known by his stage name J-Hope, is turning 26 years old this February 18. ARMYs all around the world were celebrating J-Hope’s birthday. Shortly after midnight, Twitter was crowded by hashtags full of love for J-Hope. The first hashtag trend on Twitter was #HappyBirthdayJhope, followed by #OurRemedyJhope and #JhopeBirthday.
At 12:20 a.m KST BTS Suga wished happy birthday with lots of laughter. He added hashtag #IAmFirst to claim that he was the first one wishing J-Hope a happy birthday.

Facts J-Hope Super Fans Must Know
1. Was once part of an underground dance team
Born and Grew up in Gwangju, Jung Ho Soek was once a part of an underground team named Neuron. He then took a dance class in Gwangju Music Academy. Therefore, it is no wonder that J-Hope is well known for his dance skills in dance prior to his debut with BTS. He has won several dance competitions, such as first place is a national dance competition in 2008.
2. Has purchased a luxury apartment for himself
Though J-Hope currently lives in Hannam-dong, Seoul, with other BTS members, he has a luxury apartment. In 2016, he bought an apartment suite at the famous ‘Seoul Forest Trimage’, an apartment complex for not only celebrities but also sports stars and worldwide figures. J-Hope’s apartment is worth approximately USD1.6million!
3. Is a humble, kind-hearted person
J-Hope is not only a charming K-pop superstar, but he is also a humble, kind-hearted person. On J-Hope’s birthday last year, he donated around USD 89,000 to support low-income students attending his alma mater through ChildFund Korea’s Gwangju Headquarters. He also joined his fans, who contributed to around 35 donation projects in honor of his birthday last year. Previously, he also donated approximately USD 133,000 to ChildFund Korea. However, he requested the donation to be private and secret at that time.
4. Loves his family
Though his father did not support his decision to be a dancer, his mother is always by his side. His mother even supported him financially by working abroad. Therefore, J-Hope has written a song entitled “Mama” and dedicates this to his mother. This kind of love is one strong reason where he is now.
5. Is hardworking and perfectionist
J-Hope went through hard days as a trainee. He admitted that he had left the debut, but BTS leader, RM, said that BTS needed J-Hope. He decided to go back to BTS because he trusted his teammates. Another fact is that he passed out when recording music video “Boy with Luv” as he tried to do his best performance for ARMYs.
