BTS RM’s New Solo Album

On November 1, Korean media reported that BTS leader RM will release a new solo album on November 25. BigHit Music has confirmed BTS RM’s upcoming new solo album and stated,

“RM will be releasing a solo album, and he is currently in preparations.”

RM’s new solo album will make him the third BTS member that will officially drop a solo project after the solo project of J-Hope with “Jack In The Box” in July and Jin’s “The Astronaut” last October.

On the same date, Rolling Stone magazine released an exclusive interview between BTS leader RM and Pharrel Williams. Both singers did an honest interview and shared about their views, experiences, career, music, and plans.

During the talk, Pharrel revealed that he worked with BTS on one of the songs in his upcoming album “Phriends.” The singer said,

“Well, my project, it’s called… it’s [under] my name, and the title of the album is “Phfriends.” It’s the volume one. You guys [BTS] are on there, obviously.”

He continued,

“And I’m actually talking about this way more than I’m supposed to. But it’s a song from my album that [BTS] sang, and it’s amazing, and I’m super grateful.”

RM expressed his opinion about their collab song and conveyed, “I just love this song.” Pharrell agreed, “I love it too… Everyone that hears it is like, ‘Whoa.’”

During the exclusive interview, Pharrel Williams referred to BTS RM’s upcoming solo album. He said,

“I’m just going to put this out there. You said you’re 90 percent done with your solo album. But if within that last 10 percent, if you need—you don’t need me, but I mean….”

BTS RM responded to Pharrel’s offer and said,

“I always needed you, for 15 years.”

RM has been a fan of Pharrel Williams for years and hopes to work with the singer someday.

The American singer and producer continued, “OK, well, if you want to do something, we can actually do it.” Excited by Pharrel’s offer, RM said, “Please, I’m honored and grateful.”

So, from their conversation, we all can anticipate that both singers will team up for the second time and release another masterpiece after they collaborate on Pharrell’s new album, “Phfriends.”

Recently, tvN has introduced BTS RM and film director Jang Hang Joon to co-hosts in tvN’s upcoming variety program “The Dictionary Of Useless Human Knowledge.”
