Another Chinese hit series hit series, “Go Ahead”, starring Seven Tan and Song Wei Long, is undergoing a remake into a highly anticipated Korean drama. At the heart of this new Korean drama are actors Hwang In Yeop, Jung Chae Yeon, and Bae Hyun Sung, who will all become “Family by Choice”. Hwang in Yeop, Jung Chae Yeon, and Bae Hyun Sung Confirmed for “Go Ahead” Korean Remake
The Korean remake of Chinese series, “Go Ahead” has confirmed its final main cast lineup.
JTBC confirmed last week that actors Hwang in Yeop, Jung Chae Yeon, and Bae Hyun Sung would be acting as the main characters for the new Korean drama. The temporary title for “Go Ahead” Korean remake is currently called “Family by Choice”.
The original Chinese drama, “Go Ahead” aired in 2020 and received massive recognition. It also became a huge pathway to stardom for all the leading actors.
The new Korean remake version of the drama, “Family by Choice” will reportedly become another showcase skills for writer Kim Si Young. She would have to turn the already-hit-series into another Korean masterpiece.
Meanwhile, Hwang In Yeop, Jung Chae Yeon and Bae Hyun Sung will collaborate with director Kim Seung Ho in the new Korean drama, “Family by Choice”. He was the one who directed “Joseon Attorney” and co-directed “Twenty Five, Twenty One”.

“Family by Choice” tells the heartwarming tale of three individuals, Kim San Ha, Yoon Joo Won, and Kang Hae Joon, who form an unbreakable bond during their teenage years. Hwang In Yeop steps into the shoes of the charming and seemingly perfect Kim San Ha. Audiences eagerly await Hwang In Yeop’s depiction of San Ha, a character with hidden complexities.
Jung Chae Yeon shines as the ever-optimistic and resilient Yoon Joo Won. Raised by her kalguksu restaurant owner father, Joo Won’s unwavering belief in her chosen family with San Ha and Hae Joon forms the core of her character. Jung Chae Yeon promises to deliver a heartwarming performance, bringing to life the lovable and strong-willed Joo Won.
Completing the trio is Bae Hyun Sung as Kang Hae Joon, the sunshine of the group. Despite facing early hardships, Hae Joon’s love and loyalty towards his makeshift family are unshakeable. His devotion to basketball, driven by a desire to repay Joo Won’s father, adds depth to his character.
