Jeon Somi the First Album ‘XOXO’
The former member of I.O.I, Jeon Somi or known for her stage name Somi, debuted as a solo singer three years ago with her hit single, ‘Birthday,’ in 2019. Then, in 2020, she released another hit single, ‘What you waiting for.’
This year, she released a hit single, ‘Dumb Dumb,’ on August 2, 2021, and it exceeded 10 million views on YouTube just one day after the release. Soon, Somi will comeback again with not only a single, but with the first album titled ‘XOXO.’

On October 22, the agency of Somi, the Black Label, released the second teaser image. In the second teaser image, Somi sits on a car with some spray paint graffiti on the car written XOXO, beware of dog, wrong place, and the crap is planned.

Somi’s first full album has 8 songs in it. Those are Dumb Dumb, XOXO, Don’t let me go (feat. Giriboy), Anymore, Watermelon, Birthday, What you waiting for, and Outta my head.
The album’s title track is ‘XOXO.’ The album includes three previous hits of Somi, ‘Dumb Dumb,’ ‘Birthday,’ and ‘What you waiting for.’
She said every track has a special place in her heart, especially track 5, Watermelon. Although the title gives us a summer vibe, we can expect that it will be a refreshing song this fall!
