NewJeans Reigns Over the Kpop Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings in January 2023

The Korean Business Research Institute has released the top 100 Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings in January 2023. As a result, the rookie girl group NewJeans became the No. 1 most popular Kpop idol group in South Korea for this month. NewJeans, BTS, BLACKPINK, IVE, and SEVENTEEN.

On January 23, the Korean Business Research Institute released the top 100 idol group brand reputation rankings in January 2023. The institute has analyzed 99,957,750 idol group brand big data gathered from December 23, 2022, to January 23, 2023. Compared to the 93,006,397 idol brand big data published in February 2022, it increased by 7.47 percent.

In January’s top Kpop idol group rankings, NewJeans earned a brand value of 9,400,011. In the link analysis, the group’s top-ranking related terms were “record, breakthrough, and apology.” Meanwhile, the group’s top-ranking phrases in keyword analysis were “OMG, Minji, and Ditto.” And in the positive-negative analysis, the group earned a positive rate of 86.05 percent.

This month, NewJeans not only reigned over the brand reputation rankings for the Kpop idol group, but also Kpop female groups, Kpop female group members, and Korean singers.

Further, Kpop boy group BTS fell to second place with a brand value of 8,106,573, followed by BLACKPINK in third place with a brand value of 4,865,510.

Then, rose to fourth place from twelfth in February 2022; Starship Entertainment’s Kpop girl group, IVE, earned a brand value of 3,878,364 this month. And finally, SEVENTEEN stayed in fifth position and closed this month’s top five list with a brand value of 3,266,092.
