BTS x Hyundai Videos for Korean Hangeul Day Campaign
On October 9, Hyundai official social media accounts released mesmerizing videos of their collaboration with BTS to celebrate Korean Hangeul Day. In addition to the celebration, the company released these videos as a part of their #ExpectingGenerationOne and #CarbonNeutrality2045 campaign as Hyundai’s global brand ambassador.
What is South Korean Hangeul Day?
The South Korean Hangeul Day is a celebration to commemorate the invention and proclamation of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul.
In 1443, the fourth king of Joseon, King Sejong the Great, instituted the Korean hangeul alphabet to improve the literacy of his people. Therefore, October 9 has been known as Korean Hangeul Day, and citizens of South Korea have been commemorating the day since 1928.
After that, in 2006, Korean Hangeul Day became a designation Korean holiday.
